Surah 104 الهمزة
9 Verses
Meccan
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ Verse 1
Woe unto every slandering traducer,
Verse 1, Where in the source
ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ Verse 2
Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it.
Verse 2, Where in the source
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ Verse 3
He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal.
Verse 3, Where in the source
كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ Verse 4
Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One.
Verse 4, Where in the source
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ Verse 5
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is!

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ Verse 6
(It is) the fire of Allah, kindled,

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ Verse 7
Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men).

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ Verse 8
Lo! it is closed in on them
