Surah 107 الماعون
7 Verses
Meccan
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ Verse 1
Hast thou observed him who belieth religion?
Verse 1, Where in the source
فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ Verse 2
That is he who repelleth the orphan,

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ Verse 3
And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ Verse 4
Ah, woe unto worshippers

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ Verse 5
Who are heedless of their prayer;

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ Verse 6
Who would be seen (at worship)

وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ Verse 7
Yet refuse small kindnesses!
