Surah 77 المرسلات
50 Verses
Meccan
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا Verse 1
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
Verse 1, Where in the source
فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا Verse 2
By the raging hurricanes,
Verse 2, Where in the source
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا Verse 3
By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive;
Verse 3, Where in the source
فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا Verse 4
By those who winnow with a winnowing,
Verse 4, Where in the source
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا Verse 5
By those who bring down the Reminder,
Verse 5, Where in the source
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا Verse 6
To excuse or to warn,
Verse 6, Where in the source
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ Verse 7
Surely that which ye are promised will befall.
Verse 7, Where in the source
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ Verse 8
So when the stars are put out,
Verse 8, Where in the source
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ Verse 9
And when the sky is riven asunder,
Verse 9, Where in the source
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ Verse 10
And when the mountains are blown away,
Verse 10, Where in the source
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ Verse 11
And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed -
Verse 11, Where in the source
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ Verse 12
For what day is the time appointed?
Verse 12, Where in the source
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ Verse 13
For the Day of Decision.
Verse 13, Where in the source
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ Verse 14
And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! -
Verse 14, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 15
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 15, Where in the source
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ Verse 16
Destroyed We not the former folk,
Verse 16, Where in the source
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ Verse 17
Then caused the latter folk to follow after?
Verse 17, Where in the source
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ Verse 18
Thus deal We ever with the guilty.
Verse 18, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 19
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 19, Where in the source
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ Verse 20
Did We not create you from a base fluid
Verse 20, Where in the source
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ Verse 21
Which We laid up in a safe abode
Verse 21, Where in the source
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ Verse 22
For a known term?
Verse 22, Where in the source
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ Verse 23
Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging!
Verse 23, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 24
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 24, Where in the source
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا Verse 25
Have We not made the earth a receptacle
Verse 25, Where in the source
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا Verse 26
Both for the living and the dead,
Verse 26, Where in the source
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا Verse 27
And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein?
Verse 27, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 28
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 28, Where in the source
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ Verse 29
(It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny;
Verse 29, Where in the source
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ Verse 30
Depart unto the shadow falling threefold,
Verse 30, Where in the source
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ Verse 31
(Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame.
Verse 31, Where in the source
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ Verse 32
Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles,
Verse 32, Where in the source
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ Verse 33
(Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue.
Verse 33, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 34
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 34, Where in the source
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ Verse 35
This is a day wherein they speak not,
Verse 35, Where in the source
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ Verse 36
Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses.
Verse 36, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 37
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 37, Where in the source
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ Verse 38
This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together.
Verse 38, Where in the source
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ Verse 39
If now ye have any wit, outwit Me.
Verse 39, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 40
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 40, Where in the source
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ Verse 41
Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains,
Verse 41, Where in the source
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ Verse 42
And fruits such as they desire.
Verse 42, Where in the source
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ Verse 43
(Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did.
Verse 43, Where in the source
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ Verse 44
Thus do We reward the good.
Verse 44, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 45
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 45, Where in the source
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ Verse 46
Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty.
Verse 46, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 47
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 47, Where in the source
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ Verse 48
When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down!
Verse 48, Where in the source
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Verse 49
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Verse 49, Where in the source
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ Verse 50
In what statement, after this, will they believe?
