Surah 93 الضحى
11 Verses
Meccan
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالضُّحَىٰ Verse 1
By the morning hours
Verse 1, Where in the source
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ Verse 2
And by the night when it is stillest,
Verse 2, Where in the source
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ Verse 3
Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee,
Verse 3, Where in the source
وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ Verse 4
And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former,
Verse 4, Where in the source
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ Verse 5
And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content.
Verse 5, Where in the source
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ Verse 6
Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)?
Verse 6, Where in the source
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ Verse 7
Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)?
Verse 7, Where in the source
وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ Verse 8
Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)?
Verse 8, Where in the source
فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ Verse 9
Therefor the orphan oppress not,
Verse 9, Where in the source
وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ Verse 10
Therefor the beggar drive not away,
Verse 10, Where in the source
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ Verse 11
Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse.
