  1. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

    أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ 1

    Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you

  2. حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ 2

    Until ye come to the graves.

  5. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ 5

    Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge!

  6. لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ 6

    For ye will behold hell-fire.

  7. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ 7

    Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision.

  8. ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ 8
